💗 What’s the difference between a doula and a midwife?
Many people use these terms interchangeably, but they have very different roles.
🤱 A doula provides continuous emotional, physical, and informational support throughout pregnancy, labor, and postpartum—but does not perform medical care.
👩‍⚕️ A Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) provides medical care, monitors the health of both mom and baby, and is trained to safely deliver babies.
